All carbon nanotubes are arranged in a tube like structure. Imagine rolling a piece of paper up into a tube. In the case of the carbon nanotube, the piece of paper is a single atom thick. This single atom sheet is called graphene. Rolling up graphene forms a carbon nanotube. This app demonstrates that rolling in an animated movie, starting with the graphene sheet (represented as a wireframe), and ending up with the carbon nanotube.
